Winger Jay Malshanskyj has returned to Bishops Cleeve from Southern League Premier Division South side Taunton Town after four months at the Cygnet Healthcare Stadium.

Malshanskyj earned his move up the pyramid after an impressive start to the 2024/25 season at Kayte Lane which involved a 3-0 win over Torquay United in the FA Cup, a competition in which he was once the fastest ever goal scorer. Cleeve's top scorer at the time of his departure, Malshanskyj was described as a "powerful, skilful, and versatile forward" by Peacocks boss Richard Luffman and his return to the Everyone's Energy Kayte Lane Stadium is a source of real excitement among Mitres fans.

The 23-year-old has scored three league goals in nine appearances at the Somerset club and will be eager to add to his 25 goals in 53 appearances for Paul Collicutt's side which includes six in eleven games this season.

Malshanskyj's arrival could be key in the club's push for promotion and he should be eligible to play in their Boxing Day derby at Evesham United.
